Mexico class goes back in time

As part of their History topic ‘Peasants, Princes and Pestilence’, Mexico class have been travelling in time to find out about peasant food of the medieval period. Today they made barley bread, mushy peas and cabbage pottage.

After tasting their efforts, the comments were surprisingly favourable: “Cabbage is not my favourite vegetable, but this was yummy!”,“ I don’t like peas, but these were really nice”, “ I’ve not tried cabbage before, but I liked this”. Thankfully hygiene is better now than in medieval times!
